Character(s) Appearing: Sora, Riku, Kairi Time:1:00 PM Previous Thread: N/A NPC(s): N/A Summary: Riku's been acting strange lately and Sora wants to know why. Kairi makes an unexpected visit.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The cool ocean breeze washed over the deserted island and the sun beat down on the world. The sound of the waves coming ashore was relaxing as Riku stood in the middle of the small islands connected by the bridge.
Riku's eyes were closed as he concentrated on trying to follow the beat of his heart. He had caught himself doing this a lot lately, but he really couldn't understand why he felt he needed to do this.
The silver haired boy brought his hand up, palm outstretched. He tried to open up a corridor of darkness, but as much as he tried, he just couldn't bring it forth. He was glad that the darkness inside of him wouldn't not call it, but another part in him kept telling him otherwise.
He needed it.
When he was in the darkness, he loved the power it provided him. He felt so powerful. Like he could take on anything! As much as he liked being one with the light, Riku still liked to use the darkness. Sure, he had a few abilities that still required darkness, but it wasn't enough to fill this hole inside of him.

Sora calmly walked onto the island. He sighed, it'd been 2 days since he had seen Kairi now, he didn't expect to ever miss her now that he was home. This school thing was totally not cool. He looked at the ocean, smiling, rememering all the good times out here with Kairi Riku, Tidus, Wakka, and Slephie. His eyes wandered to the secret place for a moment, the closest thing to him and Kairi sharing a Paopu fruit. As Selphie had said, How romantic. His face was now beaming.
He slowly walked along the beach's shore until suddenly he spotted Riku. He smirked, the silver haired lad was unaware, Sora began to run towards him, but came to a stop for a moment, seeing the boy put his hand out in front of him. It looks like he's trying to open a corridor of darkness, if he's that desperate, he must be missing adventure as much as me.... Sora thought, frowning slightly, scratching his chin, he shrugged. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, Riku's on oue side for good.
Sora smiled and yelled out, "Hey Riku! There you are!" He aimed a jump tackle at the elder youth, smiling. He was glad to be back with his best friends. They had developed bonds that even his bonds with Donald and goofy couldn't compare to.

At the voice, Riku dropped his hand immediately in fear of being found out. He did a quick one eighty only to see a flying Sora coming straight at him. With a loud 'Ooof" Riku and Sora went tumbling to the ground.
After shaking off the small surprise from falling, Riku instantly grabbed Sora in a headlock while giving him a noogie. He didn't intended to let go untill he got an answer for him.
"What kind of greeting is that?" He said, continuing to ruffle his hair. This was nice. It reminded him of the older days; before all this saving the worlds business fell into their lap.
"What are you doing here anyways?" Riku asked, easing up on Sora's punishment. "Why aren't you with Kairi?"
Ah, he had forgotten about the darkness right when Sora showed up...oh well.

"Kairi's busy with homework and stuff, besides, Can't a guy want to see his other best friends from time to time?" Sora asked Riku laughing as he felt the nookie digging into his skull. He smiled and laughed, this felt right, just hanging out with his best friends, but why did he still feel empty, had he really been that attached to adventuring?
Hewriggled around trying to break Riku's grip he pushed his body into the Silver haired youth trying to cause a bit pf pressure in the boy's side so that the older friend...brother to Sora would release his grasp, but it was a long shot. He was laughing though as he flailed his arms. This felt so familiar but something was missing. Why is it whenever I'm away from her there's something missing, but when I'm with here I'm complete but I want to explore raced through Sora's mind.
He smiled though he was happy he was home, this was his goal, him, Riku and Kairi, home.

Kairi looked on at the two boys, smiling as she held her book bag over her shoulder. Just watching them play around like they were, it reminded her so much of the days when they simply dreamed about adventure. Before anything had happened, they were all just normal kids that wanted to explore what was out there. She wondered if that desire was still as strong in them as it was in her? But then again, Kairi was content with staying here for a while. It was a nice, except for the fact that she went to a different school than Riku and Sora.
This wasn't her idea of course, it had already been made by her foster family, which consisted of the Mayor and his wife. Though she knew they weren't her real family, she didn't love them any less. They were still her family, the people that helped raise her. Not to mention, she couldn't see herself being raised by anyone else in the town. While some people at first glance would think she'd be spoiled, anyone that knew her was aware that nothing was further from the truth.
Walking along the bridge to get to the area that had once been their playground, Kairi giggled as she stood behind the duo just as Riku put Sora into a head lock.
"Well...Im glad to see you guys aren't having too much fun without me...."

Riku still had his hold on the boy, digging one more time into his head before being satisfied with his answer. He remembered the good old days when they used to play like this everyday; before their dreams of adventure actually became real.
"Hmmm, I guess thats a good enough answer," Riku said, still holding his best friend in the head lock. Although, when he heard to call of their female friend, Riku turned his head and instantly dropped the keyblade wielder.
"Hey Kairi!" Riku said, waving his hand above his head. The platnium haired teen raised his eyebrows when he spotted the book bag she was carrying behind her.
"What this? Kairi's is skipping out on school?" Riku joked, putting his fists on his hips. "I think we're starting to rub off on you,"

Sora fell into the Sand as he saw Kairi's arrival. His mouth quickly filling with it. H sort of grimaced at his friend for the act. This of course couldn't be seen since his face was currently buried within the sand. He slowly got up spitting out the grains of sand in his mouth as he got to his feet, a smile on his face. "Yeah Kairi, next thing you know, you'll be copying your answers off of Selphie or something." Sora said sticking his tongue out.
It only became a taunt after he finished brushing the sand off of his tongue and kept it sticking out for a few seconds more. He brought back his smile and took a breath of the beach's fresh air. A bottle was slowly drifting to shore, a message with in it. Sora of course was completely oblivious to said bottle, it'd be very easy for Kairi to detect it though.
He placed his hands behind his head still smiling and began to laugh. It sort of looked like he was leaning himself against an invisible pole. Though none was there. He looked at his two friends approvingly. "Wow it's just like the good old days. Next thing you know Tidus, Slephie and Wakka will show up." He said simply. He was so happy at this moment, the urge for adventure had left him. Of course the Call might not be far behind.

"Hehe....One deviant act once in a while isn't too bad. But I don't think I'd ever go so far as to skip class everyday Riku..."
With a grin on her face, Kairi then gently punched Sora in the arm before lowering her bag from her shoulder. It was nice for them all to be together like this, and it even did seem likely that the others would show up next. Yet she didn't count on it, especially since there was still an hour left in school. Though just the three of them being here was nice, and it almost felt just like it used to, before everything that had happened. But was it wrong for her to wish for them to normal?
As she was about to rise back up from the ground after placing her book bag upon the sand, her eyes noticed something within the water. Blinking as she stared, the object reflected a small ray of light from its surface, causing her to be more curious about it. Moving away from the two boys, Kairi soon found herself kneeling down next to shoreline, picking up the bottle and seeing the message within it. With this one sighting, a simple word came to mind.
De ja vu....

"I don't skip every day..." Riku replied, drawing out the word to emphasis it. Technically, he really didn't skip everyday, just most of the week. After going on adventures and saving the worlds, school was just so boring.
"Common Spiky," Sora said, pushing his friend on the back and ushering him to catch up with Kairi. As they made their way down, Riku noticed Kairi staring blankly into her hands. This action caused Riku to raise his eyebrows.
"Whatcha got there Kairi?" Riku asked, looking over her shoulder.
There in her hands, was a glass bottle with a note inside. Excitement filled his whole being, hoping that this message was from the king. If it was, that meant that they were needed and would be going out and adventuring once again.
"Is it from the King?" Riku asked.

Sora grabbed the bottle from the two of them. He of course having already seen 2 or three letters from the king recognized the mouse's moniker and seal immediately. He pulled out the cork, comically falling backwards landing butt first into the sand. the sound of his body meeting the sand made a loud crunching noise as grains of sand went flying in all directions a couple inches off of the ground.
Sora let out a hearty laugh as he let the letter fall out of the bottle. He unrolled the letter and began to read immeasurably. Sora.... not much time....you need to....reunite the worlds....restore them back to the days of the light....you need to find the Door....also the ones that have been forgotten,....you are the key... until you find them...your true destiny will not of been accomplished -Mickey He read as the Letter fell to his side and he dropped it into the sand. He looked up at the clear blue sky above. The sun shining. Did this mean, Darkness had returned, again? Reunite the worlds? what was The king talking about, and what about this nonsense about the one's forgotten.
Suddenly Sora's Memories flashed back to the strange Canyon him and Donald and Goofy fought through the portal in Disney Castle. Aqua... Ven... Keyblade... Who are you? I can feel it - we have met before. But when... No... it isn't you... It isn't you that I have chosen. Why isn't it him? Xe...ha...nort... Is that you? Xeha...nort... Xehanort! I see. Your strength is... What I sensed in you is... Sora wondered, was it anything to do with those names, he still never understood how that figure had a keyblade. But either way he was filling with Excitement, so much he felt like he was going to explode. He was still looking at they sky as the Paper began to get covered in sand as his weight shifted beside it.

Kairi picked up the letter as she stood up and began to quickly read it herself. Whatever had been written changed Sora's cheerful demeanor rather quickly, but what could have happened? As her eyes scanned the piece of paper, her gaze widened before then handing the note to Riku. There was trouble in the worlds again and the King wanted Sora to help make it right. But then this meant him leaving again, this meant him going into danger again.
"Sora................"
As the teen looked towards the boy with a concerned expression on her face, she then looked to Riku to see what he thought about all this.

Sora, rendered speechless? Now that was a first. Whatever was on that piece of paper was very important. He remembered the last time Sora and him had found a message in a bottle at the Dark Meridian. The note from Kairi was what had given Sora the power to open the door to light and bring them home.
After accepting the piece of parchment from Kairi, Riku quickly scanned over the contents. It seemed his guess was right in the King needing their help once again. But who where the forgotten ones?
Well obviously, they are forgotten so of course we wouldn't know Riku thought while folding the piece of paper and placing it back in the bottle.
Sora was just gazing out into the sky, probably lost in thought he assumed. When Kairi turned her head to look at him, he just gave her a shrug, not sure what to do now.
"So what do we do now?" Riku asked, putting his hand on his shoulder and forcing him to look at them.

Sora's Face contained a smile as wide as possible. He pushed past Riku, if he didn't expect it, Sora would probably knock him down. Sora leaped into the sky landing on the large tree that they would often sit upon. He had the largest beaming smile. "Guys, come on, isn't it obvious what the three of us have to do!? We have to go out TOGETHER, explore, TOGETHER and save the worlds TOGETHER! Beat the darkness back finally, so this can truly be the world of light."
His voice was strong and sturdy, there was no uncertainty in his tone what so ever. He looked at the two with a strange unexplainable form of trepidation. He Jumped off of the the tree and slowly approached them, his face now very serious. The Sound of his feet crunching the sand underneath him loud in the near silence of his friends as they watched, reacting however they may.
Sora Riku and Kairi sort of stood in an odd circle. the Seagulls flew buy over head as Sora's eyes were full of excitement. He may of been more stir crazy than Kairi and Riku, not that from Sora's opinion did she seem stir crazy at all, in fact the opposite. He placed his hand out into the middle of them and said, "Well guys, Are you in or out?" He asked, wide eyed and hopeful, his hand waiting for the other two to join him in the decision making.

Kairi watched as Sora began his excited explanation upon what they should do, holding a blank expression as she wasn't sure what to say to this plan. They had only just returned from their last quest some time ago, and now it seemed like they were to go on another one. But it wasn't as if they could actually say no, not after everything they had gone through so far. Like it or not, they were probably the only people that the King could turn to for help.
Staring at Sora and then at his head as it was outstretched for herself and Riku to place their own upon it, the red haired girl smiled as she walked over and did just that, looking at the boy as she shook her head. As if she'd miss a case to go out to help all the people that had done so much for her in the past. Kairi planned to do everything in her power to be of aid, even if it meant leaving the safe haven of Destiny Island.
"Come on Riku....You know that he'd be helpless without us...."
Looking back towards the silver haired boy, Kairi grinned as she waited for him to do the same.

Riku watched with interest as Sora gave his speech about exploring worlds together. Of course, Riku was all for going off and adventuring once again; this time, hopefully, they would all be together to see the worlds together and not meet at the very end.
The silver haired boy let out a sigh, throwing his hands up in mock defeat.
"I guess I have no choice," Riku said, walking closer to the joined hands. For a brief second, Riku's eye twitched slightly at their hands but quickly covered it with a grin.
What the hell was that? Riku thought to himself, wondering where that burst of anger had come from. He was happy that Sora and Kairi were growing closer....right?
"Someones gotta keep Sora and you our of trouble," he finished, placing his hand on top of theirs. He looked at both of his friends, glad that they would be doing this together.

"Finally, the adventure we always wanted to have, but took far too long, the three of us. Together, going out there to see what the world has to offer." Sora said with a smirk. He pulled has hand back and made a first pumping motion, letting his two best friend's words glaze over him. Sure they were teasing him a little bit but that was okay.
He let his hand hand release as he stared at the two of them with an intense look on his eyes. This was probably strange to them, but this was the new Sora the slightly more mature Sora. He was still carefree and slightly childish, smiled a bit too much, but he knew how to be serious when he needed to be.
"It might be tough, and we might occasionally loose hope, but we can stick together!" Sora spoke boyishly of course letting a little spring in his...stand. He was sorta bouncing on his feet. He couldn't control his excitement, the feeling of being stuck was done, besides he had more important things to do in life than learn about calculus and algebra.

Kairi couldn't help but giggle as she watched the over active Sora while he bounced somewhat in place. But while she didn't show it as much as he did, the young girl was excited as well. This would be the first time all of them would venture out together. Even with all the things out there, and all the possible dangers that awaited them, she knew she could count on her friends to be there, just like she hoped they counted on her.
"So when exactly are we going on this adventure?"
Leaning over as she looked towards Sora with a smirk, she then let her gaze move up towards Riku as she knew that it was likely that the teen hadn't exactly planned on how to explain this to their parents. After all, Sora and Riku had only just gotten back, so what were they to say?
