Character(s) Appearing: Sora, Kairi Time: 6 PM Previous Thread: N/A NPC(s): Sora's Mom Summary: Sora and Kairi take a walk to reflect on everything in the moonlight. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sora was standing outside his house, waiting for Kairi. She had agreed to join him on one of his evening strolls. He was smiling as he looked up at the moon. Suddenly memories of Port Royal came back to him, Pirates and Ghosts, and Captain Jack Sparrow. He smiled remembering all the good times he had out on the open seas and adventuring with his other friends and comrades. Fighting heartless and undead pirates. The keyblade appeared in his hand and he looked at it saying, "I Don't need you right now" And almost like it heard him, it returned to the subspace in which it sleeps.
"I wonder how much longer Kairi will be?" Sora pondered as he took a flower from his mother's Garden. He smiled as he took a wiff of it. Not sure what to say or think, he was just excited to spend some time with Kairi alone. His mind wandered to Port Royal again as he viewed the Full Moon above him. His mind recalled Will and Elizabeth and the romance between the two and he found himself blushing as he remembered it. Gosh I hope Kairi doesn't catch me blushing like this. Sora thought.

"What are you blushing about?"
Her voice came from directly from his right, most likely surprising him as the girl was leaning forwards to look at the flower. Kairi knew that she could always count on Sora to be day-dreaming, that was one thing that his adventures hadn't changed about him. Though in truth, Sora hadn't really changed at all. Sure there was the obvious growth he had gained over her, but he was exactly the same. Which was something she had no problem with, she liked that he was true to himself.
"Sorry I'm late....I had to take care of something for my dad...."
Smiling, Kairi leaned back into a regular standing position. The girl then looked around as she noticed the full moon as well. Just looking at it reminded her of Neverland. Of course, she didn't see it herself, Sora had. But due to the connection they shared when he held on to her heart, she had been right there with him. She was there when he was flying, and when he was swimming under the sea. Though the memories weren't hers, they felt almost like they were.

"Woah! Kairi!" Sora exclaimed comically flailing his arms as he fell backwards in surprise bouncing on the dirt path as he landed. He looked at the auburn hair girl, he was laughing and watching the flower fall through the air seemingly slowly. He looked worried for a second.
"Oh no, the flower!" Sora said scrambling in the air and managing to catch it before it was damaged. He laughed nervously, pretty sure he couldn't look like a bigger idiot if he tried. He slowly got to his feet smiling and presented the now slightly damaged flower to the princess of heart, a big beaming grin on his face. "I picked this for you." He said simply, but his smile hadn't faded, although his face was still red. He hadn't responded to her first question because the surprise of seeing her had thrown him completely out of whack.
"Oh don't worry about it, your dad's the mayor, though I don't see how he could be getting a real princess to do chores." he teased nudging Kairi with his elbow. He was laughing, a faint blush sort of settling in on his cheeks. His smile though, ever omnipresent. Unsure of how long they had he straightened himself up after Kairi took the flower from him. "Anyways, Shall be begin our walk?"

Kairi giggled as she watched Sora quickly react to her voice and then when he juggled the slow falling flower in his hands before finally getting a grip upon it. When the boy had finally gotten hold of the plant, he then smiled as he extended it out in her direction, saying it was a gift for her. The girl smiled as she nodded towards Sora in thanks, taking the flower lightly between her fingers before smelling it herself.
"Its smells nice......."
Looking back at Sora as he joked about how her father was making a princess do chores, the red haired teen just nudged him back with a smirk on her face. Kairi never used the title of princess, she just wasn't ready to accept that role yet. In truth, she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to take it. Strong willed as she was, the girl was scared, scared that once she did that things would change drastically. No longer would her friends see her as just Kairi, she'd be Princess Kairi. There was also the fact that she'd never see Destiny Islands again, most likely having to live in Radiant Gardens.
As these thoughts flew through her mind, Sora's voice shattered their flow as he brought her back by his question. Looking at him with a small smile, Kairi nodded quickly as she held her hands infront of her, clasping them around the flower while her attention was turned towards the sky.

Sora smiled as he looked at Kairi, wondering what she was thinking. Wondering if when she had shared his body if her heart could hear his heart all that time. If her heart could see what he had saw. That connection that steamed most likely from her purity yet strong heart. He smiled goofily as they began to walk down the dirt path in silence. He didn't mind this, just being with Kairi made basically nothing matter, though his urge to go back out and adventure continued stirring inside of him.
"Hey Kairi, what was it like when your heart was inside of mine, actually never mind that's probably impossible to answer." The brown haired boy said idly. He wasn't sure what to say or talk about. He felt a little bit nervous but he didn't fully understand why. He smiled again blushing scratching the back of of his head in his typical nervous fashion. He smiled though, after all if he ever wanted to get back out there, he'd need happy faces right?
Sora tapped his fingers together unsure if he had anything else to say but he felt like he did, he just didn't know what it was. He looked up at the stars and memories of all the friends he made out there flushed through his mind. Leon, Yuffie, Beast, Belle, Jack Skellington, Salley, Santa Clause, Jack Sparrow Simba and so so so many more. He smiled as he looked at the red haired girl. "The answer doesn't really matter I guess, because, someday I'm going to show you all the worlds Kairi, and this time, you'll be able to see them through your own eyes, OK?"

Kairi looked at Sora, almost shocked that he had known somewhat of what she had been thinking about. But the expression soon turned into a smile, nodding in agreement to the idea as she then looked back towards the sky. She wondered if he'd ever get the chance, even if he didn't it was fine. The memories were enough to make her happy. Though it was nice to see that their bond was still in tact.
"Well since you promised me something, I can at least try and answer your question before you let it slip completely out of head....."
Cupping one hand under her chin as the other continued to hold the small flower, the young girl did her best to try and think of what it was like to have her heart within Sora's body. How could she describe such an experience, especially when she was still unsure of it herself? Yet the more she tried to put it into words, it suddenly started to actually take the shape of an picture in her head. Laughing lightly towards her accomplishment, Kairi placed her hands behind her back before looking at Sora with a kind smile.
"It was like walking through a hallway that was full of memories......Each door holding something that was dear to your heart. I wandered that place, looking for you and Riku, but I just kept finding more memories. As I kept going....new doors appeared with new memories and experiences that were yours to hold onto....and mine...."

Sora smiled at Kairi as he pictured her running around these imaginary rooms in his heart. He smiled as he continued to stand there just watching Kairi. Suddenly he remember something he wanted to show her he found the other day. He grasped her hand and said, "Follow me Kairi, I want to show you something." Sora spoke with his usual boyish charm and innocence.
He looked at Kairi smiling when they finally arrived. They had come to a cliff overlooking the sea. The water down below crashed against the rocky edge. On this cliff was a large tree and hanging from it as a single swing. It was made from two old yellowed Ropes tied to the Branch of the large Tree and a plank of wood that was surprisingly sturdy and firm for its age. The Tree was an old Oak. It seemed out of place in this tropical paradise but apparently it had been here for years since it stood tall and imposing over them. The bark covered in Moss on most likely the north side and a couple large rocks at its base. The roots curled around them, seeming to pant itself there every firmly.
Sora smiled looking at her. "Isn't this place awesome?" he asked. It was a part of the main land she may not of seen much of since it was far from where they left to go to their private fun land. He seemed to almost be hoping for her approval.

Kairi nodded as she looked over the edge with true surprise. She couldn't remember if she'd ever seen this part of the island, or if it just blended in so well that she never noticed. Though the sight was truly something, especially the tall oak that stood proudly upon the rocks. It was probably the only one of its kind, since she couldn't remember seeing anything other than palm trees on the island. Which made her wonder just what else was hidden within this world that they didn't know?
"Defiantly.......and to think we wanted to leave home when there's so much around here left to explore...."
Turning around to look at Sora with a smile, the girl then continued to try and see what else could be spotted in this new area.

Unfortunately after that there was nothing. It seemed to be that one last secret for them in their home. But perhaps it was always there, just when they were all 14 years old, they couldn't of appreciated the beauty of a spot like this. It could of simply been something idle eyes who were looking for big and exciting things. Things with bright lights and looked stranger than just an oak tree in a tropical local. Now though, after having seen bright city lights, Explosive fireworks, the sands of a desert, the ocean floor and so so so much more. An oak tree out of place could have become a lot more significant to their hearts.
Sora smiled at Kairi taking in her words. "We wanted to get off the Island cause, even though there may be different sights to find around here. We wanted a lot more than sights. We knew who everyone was like around here. We knew how life worked around here. We wanted to see what it was like for other people. Like Aladdin and Jasmin. Or Belle and Beast." He chuckled resting his hands behind his head. He was proud for having given such a wise and knowing answer. The only reason he was able to come up with it so smoothly was due to him at first thinking the same thing when he found it. He had a lot more time to think about it then her.
"Anyways Kairi, wanna swing, I'll push you." Sora asked as hr gingerly indicated the lonesome swing. a Small breeze was blowing the green grass on the cliff edge, making ripples in the water below. And gently rocking the Swing Back and forth. The sound of the wind was a quiet whistle almost and it brought a slight cool sensation to the face as the clouds gently drifted over head.

"Sure! Lets go...."
Kairi swiftly moved towards the lone swing, moving around it slowly as she let her hand wrap around one of the ropes holding it up before doing the same to the other. Sitting down upon its wooden base, the girl then closed her eyes as she smiled and breathed in the sea air as it seemed to rise up from below. As she waited for Sora to catch up, she started thinking about the people she met when she ventured out to look for Sora and Riku. Hayner, Namine......everyone had somewhat affected her in a different way.
Not that this was bad thing, it had turned her into a stronger person. Well....somewhat of a stronger person. In the end, she still was uncertain about many things, but she believed that she had time to decide on those things. This wasn't the time for that, she was with Sora and that made her happy.

Sora walked over behind Kairi. His Back to the Cliff face. He was smiling as he gently pushed on her back giving her forward momentum away from him, cherishing the few moments his hands connected with her back. Like with her and him, just being with Kairi was enough to make him happy. In fact it even gave a temporary stop to his stir craziness.
As he continued to propel her in the swing he began to speak in a slightly quiet voice, seeming to not want to break the tranquility of the moment. "you know Kairi, lately, I've really really really wanted to go back out there. Out into the Stars of Gummi Space and explore. he said simply his voice barely a bit more than a whisper. The wind though easily carried it past his lips to her ears.
He continued to thrust her forward into the sky and watch her fall back to him smiling. "But right now I don't mind being here, I'm perfectly fine with just enjoying this moment and I don't have any urge to go out and explore." He said as they continued to share the moment of silence. Sora probably wouldn't speak again until she did.

Kairi looked back at him, a smirk on her face as she heard him speak about wanting to go back out into the stars. It figured that he'd get just a little tired of peaceful living, though she hadn't thought it would be so soon. But then as he continued by saying at that moment, he felt perfect just enjoying this moment, the girl then felt a small bit a blush come over her face, wondering if he meant just being with her was enough.
"You know? I'm sure if you really wanted to...you could probably go back out there. Donald, Goofy, and the king would be happy to have you roaming from world to world making sure that everything is fine. In fact, they'd probably be grateful...."
Returning her gaze back towards the distance as Sora continued to push her, the teen then released a breath as she wondered if it really was her that was keeping him here?
"It wouldn't be too bad.....At least this time I'd know where you were...."

"If it was just Riku I was leaving behind here, I could. But Kairi, I promised I'd come back to you, I don't want to make you wait for me again. I Don't even know if I could stand being out there alone, the next time I go exploring, you'll be by my side instead of inside my eyes." Sora said with his usual light hearted tone. He continued to push her on the swing, slowly time ticked away, but for them this moment more than likely would tick on for eternity.
Sora wasn't sure what to say again having said a lot more serious stuff then he was used to so he decided he had to be a bit more silly. Silly was more fun anyways, and what he was. "Besides, a real hero doesn't think of himself, a real hero thinks of the people, I can't use them as an excuse to travel. For now I can wait, as long as I have you around." Sora said simply. It seemed he was in a rather serious mood and couldn't be silly at the moment. His smile was of course ever omnipresent.
The Wind was howling quietly as the world rotated in its place in Gummi Space. The Tree's branches gently rustled above giving a bit more speed and momentum to the swing, but nothing Sora couldn't control. He just made his pushes of the princess of heart lighter. This time he decided to stay silent until the girl spoke, his tun was over for now.

"You've really grown up haven't you?.........."
Still moving back and forth on the swing, Kairi looked at Sora with a smile as she couldn't help but giggle at the mature sounding boy. It was just kinda hard to see him so serious and yet still smile in that goofy way of his. Feeling the wind push her hair slightly forwards, the young girl closed her eyes and released a breath as she wasn't really sure what to say. How do you say you love someone and can't really think of being without them? Sora could say it so easily, but why couldn't she just say it?
"Sora...............I............"
Before she could finish, Kairi just continued to smile, jump off the swing before landing not too far away from it. Then, placing her hands behind her back, the girl shook her head and just grinned back at the Keyblade master. She remembered why she wasn't going to say how she felt, because she wasn't sure how long it would last. As much as she wanted to avoid it, she was princess. Sooner or later she'd have to leave and that would mean leaving everyone here...including Sora. The girl didn't want to ruin it by breaking his heart and telling him this, so she wouldn't say anything about it...Not yet.
"Never mind.....I was just thinking about how weird it is to actually hear you talk like that. You almost sound like Leon..."

"Kaaaaiiiiirii! Don't compare me to such a dull and boring guy like Leon. He's such a downer!" Sora exclaimed in a slightly annoyed tone. He tried his hardest to stare at her with an annoyed expression. It worked. It worked. It worked. It stopped working, quickly whatever air of annoyance and displeasure that had been on his self and aura was dissolved into amusement.
He shook his head as he laughed, holding his ribcage. the Swing slowly flew between the two of them until it came to a still position directly between the two of them. Sora smiled, jumping over the swing and looking at Kairi's form. "I guess we should get you home before you get in trouble" he said simply. Remaining ambiguous, of cures Sora meant the mayor's house, but he could of easily of been interpreted to mean Hallow bastion/Radiant Garden.
Sora subconsciously attempted to Grasp kairi's Hand as he began to journey back up the road.

Kairi nodded with a smile, waiting for Sora to reach her side as they began to walk towards the direction of her home. Looking to the sky, she then felt the smallest touch against the side of her hand, turning her gaze to see that it was Sora's hand. She wondered if he even knew what his body was doing at that point, but didn't question him as she simply took his hand in her own. Blushing slightly, she then used her free hand to removed a few strands of red hair from over her left eye.
Then, all seemed to be quiet. She didn't say anything else. It was a nice to just walk in silence for awhile, thinking about what he had said and even just thinking about nothing at all. As the stars began to shine more clearly, Kairi soon began her unconcious search for Radiant Gardens, despite how impossible it would be to tell it from the rest. Though as she thought this, she then had a feeling as she looked at one star that was surrounded by two others on each side of it. The girl then smiled, knowing that to be it.
Gotcha......

Sora and Kairi walked in silence until they were a couple blocks from Kairi's house. "Hey Kairi, you ever have a thought in your head. And it like went away, but then it came back and you don't know what brought it back?" he spoke in his childish curious tone. He was scratching his chin with his free hand, a slight blush had developed when he felt his other hand intertwine with Kairi's. He was of course referring to the memory of thinking about dancing with Kairi while in Halloween Town during his last adventure.
Their next one would begin tomorrow, not that they knew that yet, nor did it matter. This was their last reprise before excitement would abound again. Either way, some form of band must of been practicing. The song Everlong by the foo fighters could be heard nonetheless. Sora smiled, thinking it must be some sort of fate.
"uhhh Kairi, I iddn't set this up, honest, but Could I have this dance?" He asked the girl, twirling sort of. And taking her hand and holding it up in front of the two of them. His face was beet red. And he was smiling, he probably smiled even when he cried, it seemed he couldn't stop.

Kairi just looked at him with a blank expression, feeling her face burning red as she couldn't think of what to say. It was just so sudden, and the timing of the music seemed way too accurate. Yet, the boy seemed to deny any involvement. So what was she to do? Gasping as he took her hand and held it in front of them, Kairi stared up into Sora's eyes, laughing nervously as she could see that he was just as nervous about this as she was.
"Ok....."
That was all she said, smiling as she took hold of his other hand and began to move to the rhythm of the song. Though she still wondered who exactly would be playing Everlong in the middle of the night? She had a few guesses, thinking it might be Wakka and Tidus, but that didn't matter so much at the moment.

Sora smiled as they began to waltz on the path. It was silly, and almost fate like. A rosen color filled Sora's Cheeks. This was exactly the day dream he had in Halloween town a year or so ago. He had to admit, he felt pretty cool now for seemingly predicting this incident. The moment was too perfect, just far too perfect.
He gulped as they continued moving, Sora was great on the battle field but honestly, this was a first for him. The first few seconds he moved fine, but it was doubtful he would be capable of keeping up the pace of the dance, not cause it was too fast. It was simple. He was an inexperienced boy, and dancing wasn't his strong suite.
He looked in Kairi's eyes, unable to keep a gaze, his eyes darted up and down. He gulped quickly as they moved, he'd quickly end up accidentally stepping on her feet.

"Owch!"
Stumbling back slightly, Kairi looked towards the boy with a smirk as she repositioned herself so that they were dancing again like before. Was he nervous? That was what it looked like. The girl could always swear that she was seeing beads on his forehead. Was she the one making him like this? She didn't know that him dancing with her would get him so jumpy.
"You seem nervous Sora......"
Leaning sideways, she had sure that her eyes were upon his as she tried to get his gaze to refocus on her.
